California prop 3 is Prop 8 again, soundly defeated in 2008 Wikipedia

As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints I was given the charge to distribute yard signs, make phone calls, and enlist other activists from other faiths to defeat Prop 8 in 2008.

Prop 8 back then followed proposition 22 where in California voters defeated same-sex marriage. California voters have always rejected same-sex marriage. You can read this in the link above from Wikipedia.

Prop 3 of 2024 was the same thing again. This time repealing all the legislation against same-sex marriage and making same-sex marriage or any kind of marriage, even incest, even pedophilia, a right; a human right like the right to life that we have at creation.

Marriage is not a right given by God, it’s not a god-given right. It’s a right created by the state that the state can take away. So for now anyone that wants to get married cannot be denied.

The point I’m trying to make here is that churches especially the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints fought against this legislation. Get it past this time. I wonder how many Christians and Latter-day Saints voted for it.

In Matthew 24, Jesus says that in the last days, deception will be so great that if it were possible, even the very elect would be deceived.

President Nelson of the Church of Jesus Christ the Latter-day Saints said this, If we are to have any hope of sifting through the myriad of voices and the philosophies of men that attack truth, we must learn to receive revelation.

Our Savior and Redeemer, Jesus Christ, will perform some of His mightiest works between now and when He comes again. We will see miraculous indications that God the Father and His Son, Jesus Christ, preside over this Church in majesty and glory. But in coming days, it will not be possible to survive spiritually without the guiding, directing, comforting, and constant influence of the Holy Ghost.

So, for the first time in California history, Christians voted for same-sex marriage or any other kind of marriage. Obviously, they were not being led by the Holy Spirit. They were deceived.
