18000 homes were burned in “The Camp Fire” of November 2018. 87 people couldn’t get out and died in the fire . So far, less than 5000 homes have come back.
It doesn’t look like Paradise as it did when we lived here from 1976-1982. We reluctantly left to pursue my career in law enforcement. Now retired, we are restoring a completely burned property. We are planting trees and beautiful Bushes. But not everyone is doing that.
We don’t know why so many are living in tiny houses on destroyed properties .
I was just at the Town Council this past Tuesday and both a retired fire chief and another Chief of Cal Fire advocating for more trees.
Another reason for trees is to dim light and sound pollution.
